About the gallery :

Art Upstairs represents an eclectic mix of 30 leading South Island art makers.

It features abstract, portrait, landscape and 3D art.

Quality art supplies, poetry, critical literature, art and design books are carefully selected.

Decorative glass, resin and ceramics are displayed.

Most of our artists have formal training, have won awards and are known nationally. Some are exhibiting internationally.

Ken and Christy Rolfe, owners of this popular and established gallery on the Wanaka Lakefront, are unpretentious and informal. You are welcome to cruise or chat.

We wish to pay tribute to the late Chris Meder, well known sculptor and artist.

He portrayed individual personality in his animals WITH ATTITUDE !

We feel privileged to have exhibited his work.

We provide phone/electronic payment and Lay-by facilities.

For local purchasers Ken is happy to deliver and hang paintings on approval.
